Panzers lose against Soviet tanks
6th July 1941: Russians' brief success with a counter- attack
The German Army Group Centre was taking the direct route to Moscow along the Minsk - Smolensk - Moscow road. Over 300,000 Russian prisoners had been taken in Minsk at the beginning of July and the panzers pressed on towards Smolensk.
