22nd June 1942: As RAF Bomber Command becomes an ever more potent threat the Luftwaffe respond with the 'Y system'- all part of a continuing arms race
Much had changed since in Germany since September 1939 when Herman Goering had confidently proclaimed:
No enemy bomber can reach the Ruhr. If one reaches the Ruhr, my name is not Göring. You may call me Meyer.
