Two self-propelled ISU-152 in April 1945, nicknamed the ‘beast-killer’, the 152mm gun had to be aimed by positioning the whole vehicle. It was highly effective in urban warfare - low-velocity, high-explosive rounds were excellent at blasting open even the most heavily fortified and reinforced enemy strongpoints.
