The town of Orsogna. When our forward elements reached this town, the Germans counterattacked strongly and threw them out. Our troops attacked again, and found that the Germans had dug in a Mk IV Special tank and a flamethrower in the square in the centre of the town. This position was strongly covered by machine guns in the houses around
