21st September 1941: A convoy to Gibraltar is badly hit by U-Boats and aircraft as the Luftwaffe ignore the Red Cross on the Rescue Ship

The third ship named ‘Walmer Castle,’ was built in 1936, it was requisitioned in 1941 and converted into an unarmed Rescue Ship.
